Important Information for People Who Get Food Supplement Benefits (SNAP, also known as Food Stamps)
Important Information for People Who Get Food Supplement Benefits (SNAP, also known as Food Stamps):
- Your February food benefits were issued to you on January 17, 2019!
- You will NOT get more benefits in February.
- This change happened because the federal government is partially shutdown. We do not know when that will change.
- You can continue to use your EBT card as normal at any authorized retailer. If a retailer refuses to let you use your EBT card, let us know.
- If you need to apply for SNAP or received a notice that you need to recertify, you can still do that. We advise you to do this as soon as you can.
- If you need more help with food, here’s a list of organizations that can help: https://www.gsfb.org/get-help/food-map/. You can also call 2-1-1 or visit www.211.org.
